Initial OT Consultation

15 minutes · Google Meet · Free

After you have filled out the enquiry form I will email you an intake parent questionnaire. Please specify your best time for a Google Meet so we can talk about your child, your concerns, their strengths and what you would like to support them with. Together, we'll decide what type of OT assessment or support is most appropriate.

Service areas

OT Assessment

Comprehensive and targeted assessments tailored to your child's individual needs.

I offer comprehensive OT assessments in the clinic or across your child's home and school environments. I may use standardised assessment, non-standardised assessment, clinical observation, functional activities, parent/carer discussion, school information or questionnaires. Standardised assessment tools may include Movement ABC-3, DASH Handwriting Assessment 2, Sensory Profile 2 and Beery VMI. Not every child needs every assessment tool — the assessment is tailored to your child and the questions I am trying to answer.

Individual OT Therapy

Individualised therapy following assessment, working towards goals that are important to your child and family.

Individualised therapy based on your child's assessment findings and agreed goals. Sessions may take place in a clinic, home or school where appropriate. €130 · 60 minutes (can be tailored to shorter sessions depending on your child's needs).

Sensory Processing & Regulation

Understanding sensory needs and finding practical strategies to support regulation and participation.

I assess your child's sensory profile and develop practical strategies to support regulation at home, school and in the community. Parent coaching around sensory systems and emotional regulation can also be incorporated.

Skills for Independence

Supporting children to develop everyday functional skills and greater independence.

Supporting children to participate in the activities that matter to them — dressing, self-care, routines, using cutlery, fastenings, and other everyday functional skills. I break tasks into manageable steps and coach parents on how to support practice at home.

Movement, Coordination & Handwriting

Supporting gross and fine motor skills, coordination, motor planning and handwriting where these affect participation.

I work on fine motor skills, handwriting, pencil grip, gross motor skills, balance, coordination and motor planning using evidence-based approaches. I assess using appropriate standardised tools and provide practical recommendations for home and school.

Attention, Organisation & Planning
