About Emma

Welcome to Skills for Life OT

I have worked as a community paediatric occupational therapist since 2008, including 15 years within NHS services in London, followed by experience in HSE Primary Care and Children's Disability Network Teams in Dublin along with some private practice.

Throughout my career, I have supported children and young people from the early years through to the teenage years, across homes, schools, clinics and community services. I have worked with children with a wide range of developmental, neurological, physical, sensory, communication, learning and functional needs.

My community Paediatric OT experience has included working closely with social services and local authorities around equipment, housing adaptations and service development. I have also worked in specialist schools, autism nurseries and units, developing OT services and working closely with parents, teaching staff and multidisciplinary teams.

I have undertaken tribunal work and contributed to an ASD diagnosis pathway working party, giving me experience of multidisciplinary decision-making and the wider systems that can affect children and families.

These experiences have shaped the way I practise today and why I developed Skills for Life OT. Through my practice, I offer two distinct service pathways designed to guide and assist families navigating diverse challenges across home, educational, and everyday settings.
